Southeast delegation meets with Presidency on the progress of Enyimba City.

Delegation from Southeast has met with the President in the in-progress of Enyimba City in Aba, Abia State.

Part of the Federal government Special Economic Zones [SEZ] agenda,  in partnership with Abia State government and Private investors.

The delegation was led by Gov. Ikpeazu of Abia State. He told the President "Thank you for your support. This is happening as a result of your vision that states are allowed to develop at their own pace and contribute to the diversification of Nigeria."



He further said "Enyimba Economic City is 9800 hectares in three Local government areas in Abia South Senatorial Districts. It is located between Abia and Port Harcourt, it therefore sit at the confluence of South south and Southeast. 

This is a gesture we will never forget in a hurry."
The meeting with the President was the signing of agreement among three partners on the Enyimba Economic City Project; Private Sector developers [Enyimba City Development Company limited], Abia State government and the Federal government.

The Federal government stake in the Special Economic Zones being developed is represented by a  new company called the Nigeria Special Economic Zones Development Company.



The company is owned 25% by the government of Nigeria and 75% by Development Finance Institution.

Enyimba City is expected to host light, medium and heavy manufacturing. It will includw a number of Economic township, sections for Entertainment and leisure, Medical tourism, as well as residential.

Yakubu Dogara congratulates wife, Gimbiya, as she is a year older

Speaker of the house, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, has congratulated his wife, Gimbiya, as she is a year older and the speaker has taken his time to shower some accolades on her. Dogara said"Happy birthday to Virtuous woman, the rock of my family and the love of my life. Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself as you continue to flourish like a palm tree bearing fruits in season and out of season." The wife of Bukola Saraki, Toyin Saraki, also congratulated Dogara's wife on her twitter account. Governor tours several Local Government Areas to ensure peace and stability amid ongoing crisis

Kaduna Governor, Nasir Ahmad El-rufai has visited His Royal Highness, Dr. Danjuma Barde, the Sa-gbagyi, to thank  and commended him for leading without discrimination, and for being a true leader in the time of crisis. El-rufai also visited Kasuwan Magani, Kajuru Local Government. He reassured residents of the state Government's commitment to ensuring peace and stability. The Governor also urged the people to abide by the law and embrace peaceful coexistence. In the same manner, he visited Kachia Local Government interacting with the people and encouraging them to embrace peace and harmony, and to trust the Government and security agencies to ensure safety.
