Reverse your hostel policy: Students lament as a 200l student of OBafemi Awolowo University loses his life.

A young man was identified as Abiodun Babatola, a 200l Accounting student of the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, in Osun State, has been reportedly murdered during a robbery attack  on December 22, 2018, in an hostel outside campus environment.

It was revealed the young man was neither a cultist nor involved in any gang stuff, as he was known to be an innocent and easy going man.

This lugubrious event has been predicted to have resulted from some following reasons.

1.) Suspended Student's Union Government Executives : It was revealed by the student of the prestigious University that the Student's Union Government Executives had been suspended at the early period of the period of the ongoing session. The absence of these ever relentless executives has been detrimental to the utmost welfarism of the students of the institution.

2.) Inadequate accommodation provided by the institution : This is one of the reasons for major cause of atrocities by some unscrupulous elements. It was also revealed that the institution has failed to build enough hostels for the students as almost 75% of the students live outside the school campus environment. This has subjected the students to rape, extortion and robbery.

3.) Lack of utmost welfarism on the part of the management : When there is lack of welfarism in any organization, the whole activities of the organization tend to crumble and cripple. The management welfarism has been  so infinitesimal and this could adversely affect the students.

It was also evidently reported that shortly after the ugly scenario happened, Abiodun was immediately rushed to the School's Health Centre where he should have been medically attended to but it saddens the heart that where people think there is life, no life is found there.

The Health Centre Staff refused to attend to the injured man simply because he has no means of identification as a student of the prestigious University. 

The Medical Staff insistence on not attending to Abiodun has reportedly led to his untimely death.

It was also confirmed that the students of the institution are afraid of visiting the so called "Health Centre" as it has been tagged "Death Centre" by the students.

The pathetic incidence has been reported to the nearest police station so as to make sure that the culprit is brought to book.

The school management is hereby implored to review its policy on accommodation so as to protect the dear lives of students of the institution.
