The Social Investment Program, Npower, being anchored by the Federal Government of Nigeria has started touring the nation to pay courtesy visit to beneficiaries across the nation.
The Npower team fist stop was in Ondo state and their tour lasted three days.
The beneficiaries from the eighteen Local government areas of the state assembled at the Gani Fawehinmi Arcade along Igbatoro road in Akure on Tuesday, December 4, 2018.
Present in the occasion were the Governor of the Sunshine State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu aka Aketi, commissioner for Information, Mr .Olowolabi, principals of Government Technical Colleges in the state, Primary Healthcare Centres across the state, State Focal Person, Hon. Mrs Bunmi Ademosu to mention a few.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Social Investment Programme, Mr. Afolabi Imoukuede spoke regarding the payment of November stipends to the beneficiaries.
Mr. Afolabi also said the selection of device will commence in the next few weeks.
He emphasized that the beneficiaries were the most important people at the event at the arcade.
It was also announced that the 2016 beneficiaries who have just been enhanced by the Npower Program have been told to wait for few days in order to know the next line of action.
He finally said the beneficiaries should support the present administration in the upcoming election come February 2019 for the continuity of the Npower program.
