FFK on CAN support to the Presidency.

The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has reportedly paid a courtesy visit to the Presidency at the State House in Abuja, to felicitate with Buhari, on his recent victory at the Presidential election held on 23th February, 2019. Dogara mourns late kebbi House of Representative member.

Speaker of House of representative, Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara, has mourned the premature demise of Hon Mohammed Dantani, Yauri/Shanga/Ngaski  Federal Constituency of Kebbi state. Hon Dantani went to primary school in 1972 and after his primary education, he proceeded to  government secondary school koko in 1976 in Kebbi State. He furthered his academic pursuit by attending  inurno teachers college in 1978 and later attende institute of administrator ABU zaria, in 1984 and completed his education at polytechnic udus in 1997. Breaking News: Guber election Cillation Officer shot

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has  confirmed that its Governorship election collation officer for Gboko LGA Benue State, Prof. (Mrs.) C.D Tuluen was shot at and injured on her way to Makurdi with the LGA collated result sheet.  She is presently receiving treatment in hospital. While wishing her a speedy recovery, INEC wishes to point out that all its ad-hoc and permanent staff are insured against such mishaps and the Commission is responsible for all hospital bills and medical expenses of all such injured staff. The incident has been reported to the law enforcement officers and we will closely monitor the investigation. Lack of effective and efficient security during the guber poll has been questioned following the horrendous incidence.

Breaking News: Tribunal favors Adeleke of PDP in Osun State.

The Osun State Gubernatorial Election Tribunal has declared the PDP Guber Candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke, winner of the Election...Says, Supplementary Election, not known to law. Ademola Adeleke of the PDP returned as Osun State governor by an election tribunal in Osun State, with APC's Gboyega Oyetola kicked out. Osun Tribunal panel has a split decision. Two members (majority judgment)  ruled in favour of PDP/Ademola; the chairman, Justice Ibrahim Sirajo (minority judgment), ruled in favour of APC/Oyetola. Atiku said "Truly, the judiciary is the last hope of the common man and the defender of our democracy. Congratulations Sen. Ademola Adeleke." Although the tribunal is not the final arbiter, the case will tested at the appeal court and the Supreme Court. PDP rejects exparte order stopping the final collation of Bauchi State Guber poll.

The People's Democratic Party, PDP, has vehemently rejected the order by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for stopping the final collection of the recently concluded gubernatorial poll in Bauchi State. The Party has reportedly alleged the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, of controlling the judiciary and the court following the unconstitutionally halt the conclusion of collation of already declared results in the Bauchi State Governorship election, which was said to have been won by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. Governor elect debunks coma and death rumors about himself and his driver.

The Kaduna State governor elect, Mallam Nadia Elrufai has debunked the coma and death rumors being conveyed by some mischievous entities following the eight hours deep sleep exercised by the govenor. He said "I woke up after a rare 8-hour bout of deep sleep to learn that some bigotry-driven, PDP-affiliated fake news platform has declared my driver dead and my humble self in coma. Both claims are false. I thank them for reducing the days in their lives and adding them to mine. I remain their permanent nightmare & not about to disappear from their wretched and corrupt lives any time soon by the Grace of Almighty Allah,until they are permanently retired & buried." Elrufai of the All Progressive Congress, APC, was recently declared the winner of the gubernatorial poll in March 9, 2019. He reportedly polled  1,045,427 to beat his rival,  Isa Ashiru, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Candidate with a margin of 231,259 votes.

INEC issues Uzor Kalu a Certificate of Return as Senate elect.

Former governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, has been issued the Certificate of Return as the Senate elect  following his victory in the just concluded general elections. Orji, a Senator representing Asia North Senatorial District under the flagship of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC. The commission listed Mr Kalu as one of the 100 senators-elect from the February 23 election who would be issued return certificates at a ceremony scheduled for Thursday morning in Abuja. But the results released by INEC for the Abia North Senatorial District showed that Mr Kalu did not win the election outright and should not have been declared winner by the returning officer.

APC Mourns Victims of Lagos Building Collapse says Frequent Building Collapse Avoidable.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is shocked and deeply saddened by Wednesday's collapse of a building housing a school and residential units in Itafaaji area of Lagos State which led to several deaths and injuries, particularly among children. "When we lose our loved ones, it is never easy, particularly when they are children lost to such horrific and avoidable building collapse. Yakubu dogara laments the death of Action Democratic Party Senatorial District candidate

Speaker, House of Representative, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara has lamented the death of the Action Democratic Party of Oyo Central Senatorial District candidate, Hon. Olatoye Temitope. One of his aides who spoke to Gistyoublog under anonymity said he was shot in the face and has been rushed to the Accident and Emergency centre in University College Hospital(UCH), Ibadan.  Dogara said "I received with shock, the sad and distressing news of the assassination of my brother and colleague, Hon. Ondo State Government declares curfew in Oba Akoko until further notice.

Due to the heightened level of violence and aggressive attempts at destroying lives and properties during  the the House of Assembly election in the State, the Ondo State Government has instituted a mandatory curfew in Oba Akoko until further notice.  This brouhaha surfaced during the election process as vehicles were vandalized and the atmosphere of the town was filled with enormous Katzenjammer. The Market in Oba Akoko was dismantled and everywhere looked unkempt. Security agencies have immediately swung into action by curtailing the unpleasant atmosphere. EFCC apprehends APC agent for holding huge amount for vote buying.

Agent of Emmanuel Jimeh, the gubernatorial candidate of the APC in Benue state arrested with huge cash by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC. He was arrested at the North Bank Area, Makurdi.  The bundles of the currency were arranged orderly as there were new naira notes present and packed in two sack bags. It is so disheartening that vote buying has spread all over the nation like a wide spread fire. Vote buying has eaten deep into the instant consciousness of the poor electorates, they become morally and intellectually powerless when it comes to receiving peanuts from the corrupt political leaders. We hope the agent is made to face the wrath of the law in order to serve as scapegoat for others.

Rivers State Alert: Thugs storm polling unit and snatch ballot boxes in Rivers.

It is sad that democracy in this present political era where lawlessness is practiced and enjoyed amongst hooligans sponsored by some politicians. It is becoming official that Rivers State is becoming one if the States in Nigeria where peace has lost its place because of what we want to put in our stomach. Vote buying alert : EFCC operatives arrest a contestant for Ogun State House of Assembly.

Economic and  Financial Crime Commission, EFCC operatives have  arrested Mr. Sotayo Olatayo Johnson, a contestant for Ogun State House of Assembly at allegedly caught with N1.709million neatly arranged in envelopes stashed in carrier bags. He was arrested at Ijaye Park Polling Unit, Abeokuta, Ogun State. Sotayo is a surveyor, well known his area in Ogun State. Surveyor Sotayo is reportedly contesting under the flagship of the Accord Party, AP. He was heavily guarded by the EFCC while he was caught with such an exhorbitant amount of money. Information reaching us from an anonymous from his (Sotayo) said "In fact at my polling booth today, some people were writing names with his agent in anticipation that the guy will settle them after the count of votes." Akwa Ibom Alert: Military aircraft lands in VA International Airport in Uyo.

News reaching our desk this morning is that the military aircraft landed this morning at 5:05am at VA International Airport, Uyo.  Military trucks reportedly  offloaded unknown materials from the aircraft.  The army personnel refused the Airport authorities access to inspect the materials. Meanwhile, the information about the  offloaded contents is yet to be made known to the public. On the contrary, the  information above has reportedly been condemned by some members of the public regarding the clearness of the weather when the aircraft landed. In addition, the two military aircrafts are disjointed in terms of the designs. This information has been perceived to be a fabricated propaganda by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. Nevertheless, the  Uyo State Government has been implored to see to this unpleasant scenario in order to avoid lawlessness in the ongoing election in the State.

Kaduna State Governor attends his polling unit to exercise his franchise.

Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Elrufai has been spotted at his polling unit, trying to exercise his franchise in Kaduna. The elections holding in the State are gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections. Elrufai is reported willing to go for a second term under the flagship if the All Progressive Congress, APC. The governor has stressed his delight in joining the citizens to exercise his franchise in his quest to contesting. He said "I am delighted to join fellow citizens at my polling unit to cast my vote in the governorship and state House of Assembly elections." He also urged the people of the State to make the election a free and fair exercise in order to propagate the gospel of democracy. "I urge all voters to make this election a festival of democracy." Kaduna State Government procures unmanned Aerial vehicles to monitor the state proceedings.

As part of efforts to enhance security in Kaduna State, the Kaduna State Government has procured Unmanned Aerial Vehicles to monitor every inch of the state and relay real-time information.  Gov. Elrufai welcomed President Buhari in Kaduna today, for the commissioning of the Kaduna State Aerial Surveillance and Monitoring Command and Control Centre. The Aerial Monitoring System being commissioned today includes an Emergency Situation Notification System, designed to enable residents of Kaduna State to report security incidents to a toll-free number, after which the drones can then be deployed for appropriate monitoring.  This is a big development from the governor of the state in order to curb the incessant killings and other brouhaha flying around in the state. It is also a boost to making no sinners go unpunished under the law. The state is predicted to experience serenity at the highest level with this development.
