Manchester United play their final pre-season game of the summer in around 12 hours time, when the Red Devils head to Wales to take on AC Milan in the International Champions Cup.
One man who will not be taking part is Paul Pogba. According to the Manchester Evening News. The key 26-year-old has featured in every pre-season game until this point, though he’ll miss this one due to a back spasm.
It’s a recurring injury, in fact, it almost kept him out of United’s trip to Kristiansund last week, but according to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer he should be available ‘early next week’…
Credit where it’s due. Amid doubts about his future Pogba has been the consummate professional. Not once has he moaned nor kicked up a fuss, instead, he’s just got on with business as usual – putting in some rather brilliant performances.
I just hope that this will be the end of the back problem. United are going to need their star midfielder to carve out the openings in the game against Chelsea in eight days time, because when he’s missing this team doesn’t offer any creativity. At all…
Others missing include Eric Bailly, who’ll be out until Christmas, while Romelu Lukaku, Matteo Darmian, Alexis Sanchez and Joel Pereira will remain in Manchester.
