Abdulmumin Jibril thanks APC leaders and the Presidency for endorsing the new speaker.

The Member House of representative, Hon. Abdulmumin Jibril, has showed his gratitude to the ruling All Progressive Congress leaders for endorsing the new speaker House of Representative, in Abuja few days ago. President Buhari gives ultimatum to ministers to hand in reports of their work.

As the first term of the President Buhari administration winds down, the President has asked for a comprehensive “status reports on policies, programs and projects” from cabinet members on their respective ministries, departments and agencies. These reports have Wednesday, April 24, 2019 as the deadline for submission to the Presidential Audit Committee in the office of the Vice President. A circular to this effect issued by Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, also requested members of the Federal Executive Council to “ensure that all outstanding memoranda they intend to present to the Federal Executive Council are submitted to the Cabinet Affairs Office, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, not later than Tuesday, 30th April, 2019.” The circular also informed members that the “9th and 10th meetings of the Council have been rescheduled to Thursday, 25th April and Thursday, 2nd May, 2019 respectively” i...

End SARS Update: Kolade Johnson finally laid to final rest

Following the unruly killing of innocent citizens by the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, that led to the excommunication of a young man, Kolade Johnson. The unpleasant incidence occurred in March and nothing has been said or done to keep justice at its zenith in order to fetch out the culprit responsible for the young man's untimely exit. After Kolade's body was deposited in the morgue for a while due to some reasons best known to the deceased family. Yesterday, his [Kolade's] body has reportedly been laid to eternal rest as he was buried at the cemetery. The members of Kolade's who attended his final rest at the cemetery wept uncontrollably as they were on customized  shirts with the picture of the deceased designed on them.  Investigations are still ongoing concerning the killer of the young man but we hope the Nigerian Police intensifies their efforts to nab the criminal.

Stunning!!!! Meet the first female student to bag a First Class in Physics from Usman Danfodiyo University Sokoto.

A young lady, Miss Zainab, has become the First female student to bag a first class in physics from Usman Danfodiyo University Sokoto.  This has come as a great pride to the department of Physics and the University at large. Many sacrifices ate believed to have been laid to attain such outstanding and undisputed zenith of her academic pursuit. Miss Zainab graduated with 4.87 CGPA. Indigen of Katsina State. This are the kind of roles models we need.  Truth to told, only very few people are with such a great track record. She was reported both at her Department and Faculty level for her resounding success. Zainab is believed to be a source of inspiration to other female students who believe they can not be successful without paying the price with their body.

Sad!!!! Corp member falls from moving commercial bus in Lagos.

At about 9:45pm on 15/04/19 a  corp member fell from a moving commercial bus (danfo) along LASU-ISHERI road Lagos.  He sustained severe head injury and was lying by the road side.  A few  eye witnessed at the scene of the incident assisted in driving him down to a nearby hospital at (Alimosho General hospital, Igando) where he was given first aid treatment. He was thereafter referred to LASUTH for further medical management that same night due to the nature of the injury he sustained. However, no one  has been unable to contact the relatives or friends. Mobile phone on him  can't be accessed (passworded) and has no means of identification on him.   We hope the young man recovers fast from the severe head injury sustained during the ugly incident. It's official: President Buhari signs new minimum wage bill.

This has reportedly come as a good news to all workers across the nation as the Presidency signs the minimum wage bill of #30,000  into law. The bill has been issued out to President Buhari for approval but it took a while before he effected the implementation. Following the signing of the minimum wage bill at the State House in Abuja, he has showed his gratitude to those who contributed to the success of the implementation of the long awaited bill. He said "I signed the New National Minimum Wage Bill into Law today at the State House, eight years after the last review. I would like to express gratitude to everyone who contributed to this very important task, and reiterate our commitment to the welfare of all Nigerians." Yesterday night, one of the world’s richest men, BillGates called President Buhari to congratulate him on his resounding election victory, winning a second four-year term of office. Mr. BillGates said he’s happy to be associated with President Buhari, restated his commitment  to the success of the administration as well as the progress, prosperity and well-being of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He also expressed willingness to do more for the country. Customs begin recruitment of 3,200 male officers,

The Comptroller General of Customs (CGC), Col. Hameed Ali (rtd), has said the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) will by 12:00am of Wednesday, open its portal for the recruitment of 3,200 officers and men to fill existing vacancies which will last for the next three weeks. Col. Ali, who was represented by the acting Deputy Comptroller General (DCG), Human Resources Development, Sanusi Umar, during a briefing at the NCS headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday, said the recruitment exercise got the approval of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) and is in compliance with requirements of the Federal Character Commission (FCC). “We are actively engaged with the Commission to ensure that the process will earn a certificate of compliance on merit,” he noted. Further explaining the process, he said the recruitment will be conducted to fill 800 space in the Support Staff for Superintendent Cadre category, while the 2,400 space will go for Customs Inspector and Customs Assistant Cadre...

Ajegunle killing Update: Lagos State Commissioner of Police visits Adaobi family in Ajegunle.

The Commissioner of Police Lagos State Zubairu Muazu yesterday paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Adaobi Jessica Ojide. The Commissioner of Police assured the family that no Police officer who snuffs life out of innocent citizens of the country will be allowed to go unpunished. He said if such use to happen before, it will not happen again. Following the unruly killing of a 20 year old lady and another young man in Ajegunle area of Lagos State.  In the wake of the ugly scenario, the families, most especially the mother [Mercy John] of the  deceased has with great bitterness ensured that the killer must face the full weight of the law if apprehended, and also assured that nemesis will catch up with the killer of her daughter. Ajegunle killers update: Police arrests 5 suspects linked with the killing of two people in Ajegunle.

Following the callous attitude of the Nigerian Police to all and sundry, and  being the orchestrator of evil deeds in the nation. It was reported that some despicable police officers killing a 20 year old lady and a young man in Ajegunle area of Lagos State. In the aftermath of this heartless act, the Police has arrested five officers who are believed to be linked with  the killing of these innocent citizens. Five years of Chibok girls abduction: President speaks on Federal Government efforts on the rescue of abducted Chibok girls.

As today marks five years that the Chibok girls were abducted from Chibok College in Borno State.  The President has emphasized that the Federal Government efforts on rescuing few of the abducted girls and also assured the families of the  remaining abducted girl that his administration will not relent on their rescue mission to bring them back.    He said "Today marks five years since the abduction of our Chibok daughters. Fake News Alert: Discountenance Rumoured Fuel Scarcity, says NNPC

The Nigeria National Petroleum Company group has once again appealed to Nigerians to disregard trending social media report of an impending fuel scarcity due to purported refusal by some oil marketers to lift products from depots.  The Petroleum group in a release this evening by its Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Ndu Ughamadu, explained that the tale was fabricated by mischief makers with intent to create undue panic in the prevailing sanity in the fuel supply and distribution matrix across the country.  Moreover, the group informed that it has over 1billion litres of petrol in stock while imports of 48 vessels of 50million litres each have been committed for April 2019 alone, noting that there was no need for panic buying or hoarding of petroleum products in anticipation of a phantom scarcity. 

Tragedy: Muhammad Arafat gets electrocuted via an open transformer.

Muhammad Arafat was electrocuted as the transformer was left wide open and the innocent child walked into the dangerous zone.   The unexpected exit of this young Muhammad has been predicted to be due to the negligence on the part of his parents or guardians. His death had become a great displeasure to his families and the affected community. Parents & community leaders have been implored  to always situate  transformers in areas that are fenced and locked to guide against such unfortunate occurrences. Governor visits Kakangi, Birnin Gwari Local Government, Kaduna State, amid bandits attack.

Nasir Ahmad Elrufai has recently visited  Kakangi, Birnin Gwari Local Government, where bandits attacked residents, killing some and injuring a few. The bandits also razed houses and the community market.  Mallam Elrufai has also visited some of the injured persons from the attack, who are currently receiving treatment at the Birnin Gwari General Hospital.  Governor Elrufai condoling the people of Kakangi, assured them of enhanced security presence,  to ensure their safety.  The Governor also stated that Sema kaduna will provide relief materials to the displaced persons.  Mallam Elrufai has now visited the Emir of Birnin Gwari, Alhaji Zubairu Jibril Maigwari to condole him and update him on the security measures being taken to ensure the safety of lives and property.
