The bill has been issued out to President Buhari for approval but it took a while before he effected the implementation.
Following the signing of the minimum wage bill at the State House in Abuja, he has showed his gratitude to those who contributed to the success of the implementation of the long awaited bill.
He said "I signed the New National Minimum Wage Bill into Law today at the State House, eight years after the last review. I would like to express gratitude to everyone who contributed to this very important task, and reiterate our commitment to the welfare of all Nigerians."
This development has come as a great pleasure to government workers across the nation, as this will eventually trigger the salary scales of workers.
This laudable implementation has been commended and perceived as a great achievement from the Federal Government by the members of the pubic as President continues in his quest to taking Nigeria to the next level, as claimed by the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC.
