Vote buying alert : EFCC operatives arrest a contestant for Ogun State House of Assembly.

Economic and  Financial Crime Commission, EFCC operatives have  arrested Mr. Sotayo Olatayo Johnson, a contestant for Ogun State House of Assembly at allegedly caught with N1.709million neatly arranged in envelopes stashed in carrier bags.


He was arrested at Ijaye Park Polling Unit, Abeokuta, Ogun State. Sotayo is a surveyor, well known his area in Ogun State.

Surveyor Sotayo is reportedly contesting under the flagship of the Accord Party, AP. He was heavily guarded by the EFCC while he was caught with such an exhorbitant amount of money.

Information reaching us from an anonymous from his (Sotayo) said "In fact at my polling booth today, some people were writing names with his agent in anticipation that the guy will settle them after the count of votes."


Mr Sotayo is reportedly in the Police custody, with allegation of an attempted vote buying in which is vehemently against the will of free and fair election.

Vote buying is what has become a concurrent threat to the democracy in the nation and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has also kicked against the unlawful act. 


Members of the public have advised the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC operatives to make him feel  the weight of the law as this will serve as deterrent to other money-inducing politicians.

Yakubu Dogara congratulates wife, Gimbiya, as she is a year older

Sad!!!! Corp member falls from moving commercial bus in Lagos.

At about 9:45pm on 15/04/19 a  corp member fell from a moving commercial bus (danfo) along LASU-ISHERI road Lagos.  He sustained severe head injury and was lying by the road side.  A few  eye witnessed at the scene of the incident assisted in driving him down to a nearby hospital at (Alimosho General hospital, Igando) where he was given first aid treatment. He was thereafter referred to LASUTH for further medical management that same night due to the nature of the injury he sustained. However, no one  has been unable to contact the relatives or friends. Mobile phone on him  can't be accessed (passworded) and has no means of identification on him.   We hope the young man recovers fast from the severe head injury sustained during the ugly incident.
