Dogara mourns late kebbi House of Representative member.

Speaker of House of representative, Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara, has mourned the premature demise of Hon Mohammed Dantani, Yauri/Shanga/Ngaski  Federal Constituency of Kebbi state.




Hon Dantani went to primary school in 1972 and after his primary education, he proceeded to  government secondary school koko in 1976 in Kebbi State.

He furthered his academic pursuit by attending  inurno teachers college in 1978 and later attende institute of administrator ABU zaria, in 1984 and completed his education at polytechnic udus in 1997.

The late Member of House of Representative was formerly the an honourable at the House of Assembly port folio before he perused  further in his political quest to reach the zenith.


He was a insurance company member house of assembly from 1999 to 2015. He became the speaker, House of Assembly between 1999 to 2007. He was one of the members of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC.

Unfortunately, the cold hands of death came knocking at his door at the age of 61. 

His demise has become a colossus loss to  the  Members of House of Representative and the entirety of the "Land of Equity", Kebbi State.

In his condolence message, he said “I received with sadness the news of the death of our colleague, Hon Mohammed Dantani, Yauri/Shanga/Ngaski  Federal Constituency of Kebbi state. 

"He was a man of peace, a fine gentleman & great MP. He served as Speaker of Kebbi State House of Assembly & member of House of Representative.



The House has lost a man of peace, a gentleman par excellence. On behalf of the leadership & the entire members of House, I wish to extend our deepest condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, his constituents, the govt & people of Kebbi state over this great loss.

Dantani is expected to be buried through the Islamic rites.

Governor tours several Local Government Areas to ensure peace and stability amid ongoing crisis
