Agent speaks on star goalkeeper's uncertain future following UEFA Champions league shock exit.

Gianluigi Buffon's agent has stated that he is reportedly in the dark regarding the future of the legendary goalkeeper.

The Italian goalkeeper who performed superbly at Juventus, following a protracted stay in Turin. He left the Serie A giants last summer and was given an overwhelming standing ovation after he was substituted few minutes to end of the game.

Former Italy international Buffon, 40, spent 17 years at Juventus, playing 656 times and winning nine Serie A titles, before his 2018 move to PSG.

He later sign for Paris Saint Germain as a free agent where he had to start a new challenge. He has also featured in 22 games in all competitions for the French Capital.

Yesterday, during the Uefa Champions league  second leg, Gianluigi Buffon flopped to gift three consecutive brace scorer, Romelu Lukaku, the chance to put the second in order to raise the qualifying hope of  resurgent United,  before the end of the first half.

The Video Assistant Referee vehemently denied the host from perusing through to the next stage of the noble competition following  Presnel Kimpembe's handball.

Following the miraculous comeback from Solskjaer's men, and the shock exit of the Parc De Princes landlords, doubts have been casted on his future but we understand that he is not going to retire from football but seek for a new challenge else.

Buffon, who began his career at Parma before joining Juventus for £23m in 2001, was named goalkeeper of the year at Fifa awards.

He won the World Cup in 2006 and has also claimed eight Serie A titles, four Italian Cups and a Uefa Cup, but has never won the Champions League.

Italy's place at next summer's World Cup is not guaranteed, as they face Sweden in a two-legged play-off to qualify in November.

Gianluigi Buffon's agent on his future: "I’m just an agent so I don’t know what will happen, but PSG certainly can’t be happy. I can’t confirm [whether he’ll stay]. I’ll talk to the club, but I won’t get into these things right now."
