APC Mourns Victims of Lagos Building Collapse says Frequent Building Collapse Avoidable.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is shocked and deeply saddened by Wednesday's collapse of a building housing a school and residential units in Itafaaji area of Lagos State which led to several deaths and injuries, particularly among children.

"When we lose our loved ones, it is never easy, particularly when they are children lost to such horrific and avoidable building collapse.

"We sympathise with the families of the dead victims and pray for the speedy and full recovery of the injured. We also pray for the safe rescue of those still reportedly trapped in the collapsed building rubble.

"While we commiserate with the government and people of Lagos state over the sad incident, the party is worried that the frequency of these building collapse and its attendant human casualties has become abnormal.

"Relevant regulatory authorities across the country must do all that is necessary to prevent a reoccurrence of these avoidable building collapses."

The aforementioned statement was released by National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu.

Sad!!!! Corp member falls from moving commercial bus in Lagos.

At about 9:45pm on 15/04/19 a corp member fell from a moving commercial bus (danfo) along LASU-ISHERI road Lagos. He sustained severe head injury and was lying by the road side. A few eye witnessed at the scene of the incident assisted in driving him down to a nearby hospital at (Alimosho General hospital, Igando) where he was given first aid treatment. He was thereafter referred to LASUTH for further medical management that same night due to the nature of the injury he sustained. However, no one has been unable to contact the relatives or friends. Mobile phone on him can't be accessed (passworded) and has no means of identification on him. We hope the young man recovers fast from the severe head injury sustained during the ugly incident.
