Umar allegedly masterminded Kuje and Iyanya bombings of 2015. He also led Galadimawa roundabout killing of seven Policemen, Lugbe Police killing, Gwagwalada area police killings.
All these ugly occurrences happened in Abuja.
Umar was the most sought after by Nigeria's security architecture.
The hardened criminal also allegedly masterminded the multiple bank robberies in Edo and Ondo. He was accused of several killings in Okene.
He also allegedly commanded attack and escaped operation in a prison in Niger State early this year, where he lost one eye. The operation led to escape of over a hundred prisoners.
Umar was finally arrested on December 20, 2018, by Intelligence response Special team after he early escaped with bullet wound from Abuja three weeks ago during an operation in which the IRT arrested four of his gang members and recovered four AK 47 riffles and hundreds of ammunition.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police has been applauded for a great job well done following the recent arrest.
