Ondo state Governor, Arakunrin Odunayo Akeredolu, has promised that the state will start clearing the accumulated gratuities of the retired workers and the remaining arrears of pension from next year.
The long accumulated gratuities of the retired workers which had not been paid since the assumptions and signing out of the past governors of the state.
The debt was very evidently enormous during the immediate past administration of the Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, as he failed to pay up Civil Servants their salaries for over seven months.
This hopeless experiences been melted on the workers of the state will forever remain indelible in their heart.
Mimiko's failure to pay up workers salaries and pensioners gratuities were among his failures during his "workers unfriendly" regime.
The incumbent governor of Ondo state has now promised to clear all accumulated gratuities of retired workers and pensioners gratuities from January, 2019.
This was one of the manifestoes of the governor prior to him being elected as the governor of the Sunshine state.
Governor Akeredolu's commitment to workers welfare is unequivocal.
This news is expected to bring a memorable smiles on the face of the retired workers, as they will be financially buoyant.
