Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Hon. Babatunde Raji Fashola, has spoken on the Economic recovery and growth plan with developing strategies in the Power Sector.
Fashola made this statement known at the National Television Authority, NTA news now, on Friday, 29 December, 2019.
He said "When oil prices drop in future, the economy should be resilient to absorb the shock, people should be able to get along with their lives because we would have invested the money on infrastructure.
"There is a government policy for renewable energy, there is government policy to support the deployment of solar systems, solar panels, lithium batteries and all the enablers for delivering solar.
Fashola finally said "Even if it is just bringing the parts and Assembling them there. President Buhari wants to see you men and women, Nigerian boys and girls engage in doing something with their hands so that they can get employed."
These aforementioned statements were made ahead of the February 2019 general elections, as President Buhari is expected to contest with former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
