Army declares war on Kidnappers in Ondo State.

The 32 Artillery Brigade has commenced a 3 day intensive clearance Operations at kidnappers hideout within Owo and Ose Local Government Areas which are being used for various nefarious activities such as collection of ransoms from kidnapped victims. In a statement signed by Ass. Director Army PR Major Ojo Adenegan said "the operation is aimed at ensuring safety of travellers along Owo and Ose roads and also to complement  the ongoing efforts of the joint security agencies in the state to curtail the activities of the kidnappers." Presidency on a condolence visit to the former President of Nigeria.

The President, Muhammadu Buhari is reportedly arrived in Sokoto, to pay a condolence visit to the State government and the families of  former President, Alhaji  Shehu Usman Shagari, following his demise. It was confirmed that Shehu Shagari died on Friday after a brief illness which was undisclosed, at the National Hospital, in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The All Progressive Congress, APC governorship flag bearer, Babajide Sanwo-olu, has extended his deepest condolences to the family and associates over the death of  former President, Alhaji Shehu Shagari. Caretaker manager admits Club's shortcomings.

United's caretaker manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has confirmed that the club has not scored enough goals this season. The Nigerian Army has released the list of candidates shortlisted for Short Service Combatant Commission, SSC, and Direct Short Service Commission, DSS. The list of shortlisted candidates is on Punch and Daily trust Newspapers of Thursday, 27 December, 2018. Alternatively, the list of both Direct Short Service Commission, DSS, and Short Service Combatant Commission, SSC, are also available on the Nigerian Army e-Application portal: Nigerianarmyms.ng. It has been confirmed that applicants whose names were successfully selected are expected to report on the said date for the selection exercise. Candidates for Short Service Combatant, are to report at Nigerian Defense Academy, NDA, old site Kawo, Kaduna State. Presidency offers condolences over the death of his former teacher.

The Presidency has offered his deepest condolences over the death of his former teacher and a retired school administrator, Alhaji Sanda Kaita, Magajin Togo of Katsina. Aisha Omolola, a 300l student of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, has reportedly taken her own life today. She reportedly took poison "sniper" earlier today in her apartment in Samaru which immediately took her life. She left a letter attached to her body bidding a farewell to friends and loved ones. Aisha shared her ordeal on how her mum made life a hell for her and she  referred to her as a witch and trying to kill her. The brother of the deceased  was the responsible for taking care of her and her mum responsible for feeding money. The deceased, before her death, has reportedly renounced her faith in God, due to how cruel life was, to her. Despite Aisha's care for her mum, her  mum still saw as a problem. It got an extent when her brother stop taking care of her, because he already had his own family and the responsibility would be much with Aishas'. The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye, has publicly told the Kogi State governor, Yaya Bello, to pay Civil Servants their salaries to celebrate Christmas. It was reported the Kogi State government has been owing the civil servants for several months and this has not gone well with civil servants of the State. During this Christmas season, the workers were expecting at least one month for the Yuletide period, but all to no avail. He has been told to pay regardless of how many months backlogs that are yet to be cleared. It was previously announced that the Federal government was planning to disburse bail out to states so as to clear the outstanding backlogs but no news of disbursement to that effect. We hope the Kogi State government finds a lasting solution to the endless suffering of the civil servants in the State as they approach the new year.

Presidency sends deepest condolences to the families of Zamfara bandits victims.

President Buhari has sent his deepest condolences to the families of Zamfara armed bandits victims. He has also authorized an assessment trip to Zamfara and Sokoto today and tomorrow, by the Chief of AIT Staff, in addition to ongoing Nigerian Defense and the Nigerian Police deployment of personnel. The President reassures residents of states plagued by armed bandits including Zamfara, Kaduna, Sokoto, Niger and Taraba,  that he will continue to ensure that security agencies work round  the clock to protect local population. President Buhari finally assured the people that these crimes against humanity will be brought to an end. The affect families hope the Federal government finds  a lasting solution to the nascent insurgency in those States.

Another robbery attack at Oduduwa Estate along Ede road, Ile Ife.

Following the robbery attack that claimed the life of an Obafemi Awolowo University student, Abiodun Babatola, on December 22, 2018. Another robbery was said to have erupted at Oduduwa Estate alone Ede road, Ile Ife, in Osun State. The robbery attack occurred at the early hours of the Christmas Eve, at about 3am in the morning. Those who witnessed the robbery attack confirms that there was a sporadic shooting between the guards and the robbers. Fortunately, there was no lost of lives during the attack as there was a tight security from the guards. We hereby advice the management of Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife to build more hostels for the safety of her students to avoid any nascent insurgency from some deadly criminals.  Moreover, the Osun State government should fasten her security belt to avoid any security breach of the killers of peace in the state.
