"We condemn in strong term, the conspicuous absence of Buhari and Osinbajo at the funeral of our highly respected Former President," says PDP.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has strongly condemned the conspicuous absence of President Buhari and his Vice, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, at the funeral of one of our highly respected former President, Alhaji Shehu Shagari, on Saturday , December 29, 2018.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, said "President Buhari's absence from the funeral, particularly regarding Alhaji Shehu Shagari's status as the first Executive President of our country, is unpardonable and a very wrong precedence in our national protocol.



"This action of President Buhari and his Vice have also sent a wrong signal to members of the International community on how we honour our national values and respect for our patriots.

"Sadly, while the former President Shagari was at the National Hospital Abuja, passing through his last moments, President Buhari was busy campaigning in Gods will Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, boasting of he sacked the second republic, arrested and locked up Shagari and other.

"Such disdain for our respected national figure by Buhari is completely unpresidential and unpardonable. Once again, we console the family of the former President, the Government and the people of Sokoto State and indeed all Nigerians for his demise. May his soul rest in peace."



The Peoples Democratic Party has been known for criticizing the ruling All Progressive Congress and President Buhari.

Sad!!!! Corp member falls from moving commercial bus in Lagos.

At about 9:45pm on 15/04/19 a  corp member fell from a moving commercial bus (danfo) along LASU-ISHERI road Lagos.  He sustained severe head injury and was lying by the road side.  A few  eye witnessed at the scene of the incident assisted in driving him down to a nearby hospital at (Alimosho General hospital, Igando) where he was given first aid treatment. He was thereafter referred to LASUTH for further medical management that same night due to the nature of the injury he sustained. However, no one  has been unable to contact the relatives or friends. Mobile phone on him  can't be accessed (passworded) and has no means of identification on him.   We hope the young man recovers fast from the severe head injury sustained during the ugly incident.
