Lagos State Governorship flag bearer, under the flagship of All Progressive Congress, APC, Babajide Sanwo-olu, has attended a morning mass after spending the new year eve with his family.
The morning mass was reportedly conducted at the Holy Cross Cathedral, Lagos, while celebrating the Catholic World Day of Peace.
Babajide spoke of how he is equipped with goals towards the 2019 elections.
He said "Already equipped with my 2019 goals and plans, starting the year with blessings and prayers was very important to me.
"A lot of times, as human beings, we look for confirmatory signs and Pope Francis' message "Good politics at the service of Peace" could not have come at a better time in our push.
"He talked about politics in service to others and this is what drives our ambition.
"For a better Lagos, borrowing the words of Pope Francis is about "mutual responsibility and the interdependent of human beings.
"Our five pillars in Project theme will help create a better, cleaner, healthier, safer and more prosperous Lagos. Thank you for joining us on this journey."
Sanwo-olu will be contesting under the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, against Jimi Agbaje's Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, this year.
