Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki has urged the Presidency to direct the release of the social critic, Mr. Deji Adeyanju, and also to ensure that his fundamental human rights are not continuously abused by the Police.
It was reported few weeks after Mr. Adeyanju was apprehended for causing brouhaha to usurp the peace of the country.
He was said to have protested for a itch free atmosphere ahead of the February 2019 general elections.
Mr Adeyanju is also rumored to be from the opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, has been verbally and socially attacked for the undue apprehension of the social critic.
Saraki has recently spoken about the unruly and incessant arrest of the members of opposition party. He has described the arrest as unfair on the part of the ruling party.
He also criticized the ruling party for focussing on dealing only with opposition party and leaving the corrupt members of the ruling party to live freely.
