What to learn to make your service year worthwhile as a Corps member.

How you engage yourself during your service year as a Corp member in one way or the other determines life after NYSC.

But as a Corper, you need to find something doing at your leisure or during weekends.

Here are the businesses you can get busy doing.

1.) Fashion designing: this is applicable to the female and male Corpers as they engage as apprentices under their boss which could be fellow corpers or indigenes. Learning fashion designing could take up to a year or six months depending on how fast you can learn it.

2.) Bag making: This business is all about sewing of children's school bags, lady's handbags, souvenirs for burial, wedding, birthday and house warming ceremonies. The materials are cheap and there is more profit venturing into the business.

3.) Liquid soap and dettol making: This business doesn't require much stress as it is one of the coolest and quietest way of making cool cash. All you need is mixing few chemicals and you are done in a jiffy.

4.) Graphic design: This business requires you to have a laptop and have  Corel draw software. Here, you will be taught how to design banners, certificates, posters  to mention a few.

5.) Barbing: This can be done during your leisure time after closing from your Place of Primary Assignment and it could only take six months depending on how fast you can master it.

6.) Shoe making: This is a silence business where you use shoe materials to build palm slippers, shoes. You could be given a contract by schools after which you must have become a boss of your own.

7.) Confectioneries: This is also of the businesses that doesn't require you to be a graduate before you learn it. This business requires the baking of cakes, bread, meat pie, chin chin. This business profits virtually monthly as people celebrate their birthdays will be in need of cakes.

Sad!!!! Corp member falls from moving commercial bus in Lagos.

At about 9:45pm on 15/04/19 a  corp member fell from a moving commercial bus (danfo) along LASU-ISHERI road Lagos.  He sustained severe head injury and was lying by the road side.  A few  eye witnessed at the scene of the incident assisted in driving him down to a nearby hospital at (Alimosho General hospital, Igando) where he was given first aid treatment. He was thereafter referred to LASUTH for further medical management that same night due to the nature of the injury he sustained. However, no one  has been unable to contact the relatives or friends. Mobile phone on him  can't be accessed (passworded) and has no means of identification on him.   We hope the young man recovers fast from the severe head injury sustained during the ugly incident.
