Armed robber kitted in military camouflage dies as troops of Operation Zenda neutralize other armed robbers in Benue state.

An armed robber kitted in milliary camouflage has been shot dead as other armed robbers were neutralized by gallant troops of Operation Zenda in Benue state.

At about 3:30 yesterday, 30 September, 2018, troops of Operation Zenda on mobile patrol engaged a group of armed robbers in a shootout along Otukpo, Apa-Otukpo highway.

During the search of the area at dawn, one of the robbers kitted in military camouflage was found dead. A locally made revolver and and two cartridges were also recovered. Troops are still searching the bushes along the area for others who may have escaped with gunshot wounds.

Meanwhile, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai has commended the troops and urged them not to relent in their efforts towards making Benue state free from all forms of criminality.
