We did not freeze the account of Peoples Democratic Party Senator, EFCC declares

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has publicly declared that the Commission did not freeze the account of Senator Ademola Adeleke, a candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for September 22, 2018 Osun State Governorship election.

It was reiterated by the Nigerian Anti-Graft Agency that none of the family members, including the musician, David Adeleke, a.k.a Davido, was frozen as alleged in a number of news media.

For the avoidance of doubt, at no time did the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, placed a freeze on any account belonging to members of the  Adeleke family.
