10 Facts you need to know about Osun State Gubernatorial election

The Long waited Osun State gubernatorial election has begun in the thirty one Local Government Areas.

In the ongoing gubernatorial election, many candidates have evolved from different political parties.



Here are the facts about Osun state gubernatorial election 2018

1.) There are Forty-eight political parties represented by forty-eight gubernatorial candidates.

2.) Records showed that four of the forty-eight gubernatorial candidates are females and the remaining forty-four are males.



3.) The total permanent voters' cards registered at the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC office are one million, six hundred and eighty one thousand, nine hundred and thirty  (1,681,930).

4.) Out of the aforementioned total registered permanent votes' cards, only one million, two hundred and thirty seven thousand, six hundred and twenty PVC were collected, making it 72.5% of the total percentage who collected their PVCs from the INEC office.



5.) The remaining PVCs  that are yet to be collected are forty four thousand, three hundred and ten (44,310), making it 27.5% of PVCs remaining at the INEC office.

6.) There are over eighteen thousand security agences present; National Drug Law and Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Nigerian Police Force, NPF, Nigeria Custom Service, NCS, NigerNigerianonson Service, NPS, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Police Mobile Force and Department of Security Service, DSS, to mention but a few.

7.) Mobile phone and cameras are allowed into the voting cubicle so as to making the voting as transparent as possible.



8.) The Independent National Electoral Commission has also prohibited distribution of money to the electorates while voting is ongoing and to avoid some Katzenjammer.

9.) Whoever that is caught in such a criminal act will be sentenced to 12 months imprisonment or given a fine of five hundred thousand naira.



10.) Few of the aspirants have also served under the outgoing Government but defected to other political parties to become gubernatorial candidates.

Yakubu Dogara congratulates wife, Gimbiya, as she is a year older

Yakubu Dogara, has congratulated his wife, Gimbiya, as she is a year older and the speaker has taken his time to shower some accolades on her. Sad!!!! Corp member falls from moving commercial bus in Lagos.

At about 9:45pm on 15/04/19 a  corp member fell from a moving commercial bus (danfo) along LASU-ISHERI road Lagos.  He sustained severe head injury and was lying by the road side.  A few  eye witnessed at the scene of the incident assisted in driving him down to a nearby hospital at (Alimosho General hospital, Igando) where he was given first aid treatment. He was thereafter referred to LASUTH for further medical management that same night due to the nature of the injury he sustained. However, no one  has been unable to contact the relatives or friends. Mobile phone on him  can't be accessed (passworded) and has no means of identification on him.   We hope the young man recovers fast from the severe head injury sustained during the ugly incident.
