INEC to deploy over 18,426 Police Personnel to Osun State: IG of Police

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has deployed over 18,426 Police Personnel including Conventional and Police Mobile Force units, intelligence and Technical teams to provide security in the upcoming Governorship election in Osun State.

This was a statement from the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, in a meeting with his team.

The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris said"We will have at least four Policemen/Security Personnel to each Polling unit through out the State.

The distribution of the Security Personnel will help curb the excesses of some Political hooligans who want to cause a Katzenjammer atmosphere during the exercising of franchise by the electorates of Osun State.

SARS at it again: Police kills 20 year old lady and her friend in Ajegunle, Lagos State.

Truth to be told, the Nigerian Police seems to be erupting war instead of being an exemplary entity of peace. They have reportedly become a thorn to all and sundry flesh in Nigeria. A murder case of a young man, Kolade Johnson, which is still reportedly fresh and Young in the hands of the Special Anti-robbery Squad, SARS, another ugly scenario has also surfaced in Ajegunle, in Lagos State. It was reported the another Innocent youth, 20year old girl was shot dead by Police in Ajegunle while the boy that was with her was also shot & fighting for his life at the hospital. It was evidently reported the deceased did not commit any crime punishable under the law. This has come as a great threat to the peace of the nation at large. In due time, more reports will be brought to you following the unpleasant incident orchestrated by the heartless killers.
