Npower stipends breaking news: Npower releases date of first payment of stipends to 2017 Npower beneficiaries

The Job Creation and empowerment initiative of the Social Investment Programme of the Nigerian Government (Npower) has released the latest news as regards the date of first payment of stipends to the 2017 Npower beneficiaries.



The Social Investment and empowerment initiative has said that they have began processing payment in batches and  first batch of payment will be made starting from next week.

Npower said"We are cleaning the data received and are validating them with stamped uploaded deployment letters.



The Scheme reiterated that they are yet to receive the deployment schedules for nine (9) states. 

The affected States are Abia, Kano, Kebbi, Delta, Kaduna, Borno, Katsina, Nasarawa and Lagos states.



The Empowerment Scheme has now announced that the beneficiaries in the  affected States cannot get their stipends for this month.

Sad!!!! Corp member falls from moving commercial bus in Lagos.

At about 9:45pm on 15/04/19 a  corp member fell from a moving commercial bus (danfo) along LASU-ISHERI road Lagos.  He sustained severe head injury and was lying by the road side.  A few  eye witnessed at the scene of the incident assisted in driving him down to a nearby hospital at (Alimosho General hospital, Igando) where he was given first aid treatment. He was thereafter referred to LASUTH for further medical management that same night due to the nature of the injury he sustained. However, no one  has been unable to contact the relatives or friends. Mobile phone on him  can't be accessed (passworded) and has no means of identification on him.   We hope the young man recovers fast from the severe head injury sustained during the ugly incident.
