Moldovan President involves in an automobile crash

Moldovan President, Igor Dodon, and two vehicles in the Presidential convoy have been involved in an automobile crash with a lorry not quite long.

The accident occurred near the town of Straseni, northwest of the capital Chisinau.

The President was fortunate that he was not injured as the President told Russia Itar Tass news agency that " all is ok". But report said that his (Igor) mother suffered serious injuries.

The 43 years old President has led the former Soviet Republic since December 2016.

Some reports suggested Sunday's accident happened when an oncoming lorry overtook a vehicle and crashed into the convoy.

The President and other victims have been conveyed to the hospital for proper treatment.
