Manchester United turn attention to World Cup star

Manchester United has turned their attention to Athletico Madrid star Jose Gimenez as the price tags on Tottenham's Toby Anderwiereld and Leicester City defender, Harry Maguire are quite exhorbitant as the two clubs demanded a huge price in a region of £55m and £75m respectively.

The price tags have made Manchester United turn their attention to a cheaper alternative which is Athletico Madrid Jose Gimenez.

The defender performed excellently at the Fifa World Cup in Russia. Athletics Madrid will not  tempted to sell the Uruguayan star as he is seen as being important to the Club.

United has found it difficult to sign Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng as there are strong competitions from PSG and Arsenal.

Laurent Koscielny is leaving us to join Ligue 1 side Bordeaux, Club confirms.

The centre back has made 353 appearances for us since signing from Lorient in 2010. He was part of our Emirates FA Cup-winning squads in 2014, 2015 and 2017. Laurent, who started his career in the French second division at Guingamp in 2004, has played 51 matches for France and was entering the final year of his current contract with us.  "We decided to sanction his move to Bordeaux once we agreed acceptable transfer terms.
