Kebbi State Government has begun the cultivation of 47,000 hectares of cassava as raw material for producing ethanol biofuel under a Memorandum of Understanding with Nigerian National Petroleum Cooperation, NNPC.
Governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar Bagudu, has reportedly inspected the a pilot scheme in Gwazawa Danko/Wazagu Local Government Area led by former minister of Federal Ministry of Science and Technology (FMST), Prof. A. Ka'oje who is the coordinator.
Previously, the State has cultivated rice on a large scale which has tremendously been productive.
The Atiku Bagudu's government has been applauded for his relentlessness on taking agriculture to the apex.
