Akwa Ibom House of Assembly premises under heavy attack.

Akwa State House of Assembly premises is reportedly under the heavy attack by the members of the All Progressive Congress, APC thugs.

It was reported that the thugs invaded the complex, chanting the slogan, "APC ! Change! " as they set fire and blocked the entrance to the Assembly Complex.

It was told the State Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Com. Ini Ememobong has earlier this morning alerted the public via a press release of the impending attack reportedly planned by the All Progressive Congress, to forestall seating by the members of the Akwa Ibom House of Assembly today.

The police and other security agencies have been summoned to move in quickly to restore peace and order in the state.

We believe the police will bring the perpetrators to book as members of the public have been advised to stay away from the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and its environment.

Governor tours several Local Government Areas to ensure peace and stability amid ongoing crisis

Kaduna Governor, Nasir Ahmad El-rufai has visited His Royal Highness, Dr. Danjuma Barde, the Sa-gbagyi, to thank and commended him for leading without discrimination, and for being a true leader in the time of crisis.
