"Attempt by failed and discredited Presidency to lure South East Governors into supporting his second term is a charade," says PDP
The Presidency has been taunted by the People's Democratic Party, PDP, for luring the South East Governors into supporting him in his quest for a second term.
It was previously reported that the Presidency had invited South East Governors to the State house in Abuja in order to discuss the ongoing Federal projects in the geopolitical zone of the nation.
And as it was pronounced by the Presidency that the project will be completed and funded by the Federal Government. He also said assured the Governors that the delay in approval of the budget will never be a stumbling block to the execution of the projects.
After the invitation of the Governors, the opposition party, PDP, has immediately made mockery of the Presidency for trying to lure them into supporting him for the second term is a charade.
It was told by the People's Democratic Party, PDP, that the Presidency has failed in his promise to the region, as the people of the region cannot support who can not fulfil his promise.
PDP said "President Buhari and entire All Progressive Congress, APC, have been jiltery since the South East and other geopolitical zones across board expressed an overwhelming acceptance of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential candidate, Atiku due to his proven competence and respect for equity.
"Instead of accepting their failures, which is to manifest to all, President Buhari and the APC who are reputed for not fulfilling campaign promises, are busy making a fresh list of fake promises to Nigerians as they in 2015.
"Nigerians, including those in the Southeast , know that President Buhari does not keep promises. They know that he has not fulfilled any of his promises he made during the 2015 campaign. As such, they cannot fall the same old tricks ahead of the 2019 general elections.
"Instead of clutching at straws and seeking beguile Nigerians with fake promises, blame game and false performance indices, President Buhari should come to terms with the fact that there is no way Nigerians can change their mind."
