Manchester United target will remain at the club this summer: Claude Puel

Leicester City manager Claude Puel is rest assured United target Harry Maguire will remain at the King power stadium amid United link.

Maguire has been a subject of transfer speculation to Manchester United. Due to lack of quality defenders at the Old Trafford stadium, United representatives have officially gone to make enquiry about the availability of the England Defender.

Maguire featured at the Fifa World Cup and he performed brilliantly for the Three Lions of England before His team was knocked out by Croatia and Belgium at the Semi final and Third place stages respectively.

His manager was not surprised about his performance at the World Cup. He said"I was not surprised about his performance during this World Cup. We saw his progress during the second half of the season.

"He was great and played very well. It was not surprise to see him perform well at this level in the international game.

The defender, Harry Maguire is 25 year old and is valued around £65m and his manager wants him to stay at the Club for the new campaign. Puel said"I am confident about the presence of Harry this season. He is a very good player for us." He told Sky Sports News.

Leicester City manager said he can not replace Maguire within the short period remaining in the Summer transfer window. He said"It will be impossible to replace Harry if he is allowed to join Manchester United.

"If we lose a player few days before the beginning of the season without the ability to replace him because the Transfer window for the Premier league will finish on August 9.

"To change the scene before the start of the season is impossible. He (Maguire) can continue to Perform with Leicester and improve and that is the important always with a young player."

Maguire is set to join Leicester City in the next few days after a short World cup holiday and is set to face Manchester United on

August 10.
