Senate President Olubukola Saraki has resigned from being an APC member not quite long as he made it known to the public through his twitter account. Saraki has been previously accussed of orchestrating the armed robbery operation at Offa in Kwara state and he was formerly given a house arrest that was ordered by President Buhari which he cleverly had an escape route to avert the arrest. Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has made his happiness known as he predicts a strong striking partnership with fellow Arsenal and Gabon international striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang following their summer and winter moves respectively. Manchester United will be without Midfielder Nemanja Matic after having a surgery on an abdominal injury. Matic participated at the Fifa world cup but his country was eliminated at the group stage of the big stage competition. United manager said " Matic came from the World cup with an injury and the time he had to rest on holiday was not enough to resolve his abdominal injury." Mourinho also said " the Midfielder went to Philadelphia for a top specialist and he didn't leave the clinic. He immediately had the surgery." Following  the departure of the former Barcelona Midfielder to Japanese club Vissel Kobe on a three year deal on May 24, 2018 after some successful moments with the Catalans with nine league titles and four champions league crowns. Manchester United loanee Andreas Pereira has vowed to do everything to stay and fight for a place at United. The United Midfielder was sent  on loan to Spain (Valencia) last season. The Brazilian Midfielder loan move was announced on September 1, 2017. Following the live chat with Mr. Imoukhuede, 2017 beneficiaries have been urged to go and collect their deployment letter at their respective Local Government Areas as it has gotten thethe re since yesterday (friday). Beneficiaries were made to understand that the program will run for a period of two years starting from August 1, 2018. All states are also expected to return their deployment schedule to the social empowerment scheme (Npower) on or before Friday August 03, 2018. The Youth Empowerment scheme ,Npower, has sent a notification and ultimatum as regards the 2017 selected applicants who are yet to be on boarded to visit the Npower portal and get themselves on boarded on or before 6pm on Friday 20th July, 2018. The Youth Empowerment scheme stressed the notice by saying whoever that fails to get him/herself on boarded will not benefit from the monthly stipends and device.

Nigerian President, Mohammadu Buhari has departed Nigeria for the Netherlands on a 3-day visit to participate in activities to commemorate 20th anniversary of the adoption of Roman statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC) at the Hague. Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been sacked by Chelsea Football Club this evening after two years reign. Conte bagged the English Premier league title in his maiden season at Chelsea and one FA Cup during 2017/2018 season as blues manager. The former Napoli coach has been brilliant since he started managing Napoli and this has drawn interest  from Chelsea. Belgium and Manchester united midfielder Marouane Fellaini expressed his disappointment on failure to get to the World cup final in Moscow. European Champions Real Madrid have announced that Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has left the club to join Serie A champions Juventus. It had been widely reported that CR7 wanted to leave Real Madrid after Portugal exited from the World Cup. Juventus swooped in and have reportedly offered €105 million for the 33-year-old star. CR7 has been in Real Madrid for 9 long years and has won a plethora of trophies including 4 Champions League titles and 2 LaLiga titles. Real Madrid expressed gratitude to CR7 in their official announcement and confirmed that they decided to allow him to leave following CR7's request. The former Sporting talisman left Manchester United to Spanish giants in 2009 with a world record of £80 million.
