Agreement reached: Man United star set to complete €80m transfer

It’s been pretty evident that Romelu Lukaku’s days in Manchester were numbered, but it was starting to look like no club would be able to reach an agreement with Man United.  According to reports, a move to Inter Milan looks all but finalised. Calciomercato reported earlier that Lukaku has pretty much agreed to join Inter, they are just waiting on the signatures. They suggest a verbal agreement has been reached and he could even head over to Italy for a medical as soon as tomorrow. It remains to be seen if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will bring in a replacement before the window closes tomorrow, or if he will be expected to stick with what he has. Calciomercato makes a passing reference that Man Utd may target Inaki Williams however there’s no sign of an agreement being close with him. The Belgian has been in incredible form for Belgium since he moved to Manchester scoring 17 goals in his last 16 international games. His club form has often underwhelmed however, wi

Big claim Man United are ‘prepared to pay player’s €88m release clause’ – Lukaku replacement.

The fact that Manchester United appear to be on the verge of selling Romelu Lukaku has set tongues wagging across Europe, as they could go for a replacement in the next few hours. Talks of offers for David Neres emerged in Brazil, but the Ajax player swiftly put an end to that story by extending his contract until 2023. Now, El Chiringuito in Spain are claiming that Manchester United have turned their attention to Athletic Bilbao’s Iñaki Williams, ‘throwing everything’ at the transfer. It’s stated the Premier League club ‘are prepared to pay’ the €88m needed to trigger his release clause, and will do so soon, since the transfer window in the Premier League shuts on Thursday at 5pm. The Spaniard would certainly fit the type of football Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to play at Old Trafford, capable of playing across the front three if needed. It’s a very big claim, and El Chiringuito’s track record with transfer news isn’t the best, so we’d recommend taking th

Report: Man Utd plot late move for Athletic Bilbao forward with €88m release clause.

Spanish media outlet El Chiringuito are claiming that Manchester United are ready to meet Athletic Bilbao’s €88m release clause for Inaki Williams, a reported cited by Manchester Evening News. The high-rated forward is a new name to be linked to United this summer, hence why we’re questioning how legit the story is considering the club has so little time to get any potential deal over the line. It sounds like now there are targets either heading elsewhere that United are clearly not serious about, so let’s link them with the next big time or someone that will get just as many clicks. The 25-year-old is one of Bilbao’s star players but there hasn’t been enough reported interest from United to believe the rumours. We expect some extravagant rumours that suggest United will make a number of late moves from 5pm tomorrow – but we could be wrong if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ed Woodward have a trick up their sleeves. United were suddenly linked with Tottenham

Man Utd legend makes shock return to England.

It has been confirmed that Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney will make an unexpected return to English football in January 2020, as a player-coach with Derby County. The Championship club has reported the 33-year-old will arrive from Major League Soccer outfit DC United on an initial 18-month contract until the summer of 2021, with the option of a further year. Rooney will see out the remainder of the 2019 MLS season with DC United, before returning to the UK with Derby under the tutelage of their new manager Phillip Cocu – who was appointed earlier this summer after previous Rams boss Frank Lampard left to take charge of Chelsea. Wayne will wear the no.32 shirt at Derby and, in a statement released on their website, the United icon said:  “I am very excited about the opportunity that Derby County have provided me with.   “I am looking forward to joining Phillip Cocu, his coaching staff and the first-team squad from the start of January. I am sure I ca

United shown greenlight in their quest for Tottenham star.

Manchester United are having an impressive transfer window, despite what many thought would be the case. Granted, they have had their fair share of blows this window but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can be happy with the players he’s obtained so far. Aaron Wan-Bissaka joined from Crystal Palace early on in the window whereas Harry Maguire was recently unveiled at Old Trafford as the world’s most expensive defender. Now that their defence has been bolstered, Manchester United will look to improve on an attacking front. News has emerged from AS which will be welcomed by Manchester United. They report that the Red Devils are close to signing Christian Eriksen from Tottenham. The move is thought to have been aided by Bruno Fernandes favouring a move to Tottenham. Eriksen has been going through a difficult time in lily-white. While he has not been struggling for game time or trust from his manager, the Danish midfielder has been desiring a move away for some time now. Perhaps

However, when Manchester United come knocking on your door, it is an incredible opportunity. “From my conversations with the manager, I am excited about the vision and plans he has for the team. It’s clear to see that Ole is building a team to win trophies. I am now looking forward to meeting my new team-mates and getting the season started.” Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “Harry is one of the best centre-backs in the game today and I am delighted we have secured his signature. Sources: Club tells Lukaku to delete stats tweet

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has been told to delete a tweet that revealed the squad's preseason running stats, sources have told ESPN FC. On Friday, the striker posted data that showed he had clocked the second quickest top speed during training in Perth behind only Diogo Dalot. The tweet was accompanied by the caption "lack of pace" and a laughing emoji. It also showed defender Luke Shaw and midfielder Juan Mata had recorded the slowest times. Sources have told ESPN FC that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was left disappointed with Lukaku's decision to make confidential data public and ordered the Belgian to delete the post. The 26-year-old, who has not travelled with the squad for the final friendly of the summer against AC Milan in Cardiff, is keen to leave Old Trafford for Juventus or Inter Milan. He is yet to feature during preseason as he recovers from an ankle injury. Negotiations are continuing with both Juventus

Manchester United key man set to miss ICC against AC Milan as sustains back injury.

Manchester United play their final pre-season game of the summer in around 12 hours time, when the Red Devils head to Wales to take on AC Milan in the International Champions Cup. One man who will not be taking part is Paul Pogba. According to the Manchester Evening News. The key 26-year-old has featured in every pre-season game until this point, though he’ll miss this one due to a back spasm. It’s a recurring injury, in fact, it almost kept him out of United’s trip to Kristiansund last week, but according to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer he should be available ‘early next week’… Credit where it’s due. Amid doubts about his future Pogba has been the consummate professional. Not once has he moaned nor kicked up a fuss, instead, he’s just got on with business as usual – putting in some rather brilliant performances. I just hope that this will be the end of the back problem. United are going to need their star midfielder to carve out the openings in the game agains
