Former California governor and Hollywood actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger underwent emergency open heart surgery in Los Angeles Thursday, according to several reports. According to TMZ, Schwarzenegger, 70, went for a catheter valve replacement but developed complications. Doctors then had to perform the emergency surgery. He is reported to be in a stable condition and recovering at Cedars-Sinai hospital. This is not the first time he has undergone heart surgery. The Austrian-American film star had an aortic valve replaced in 1997.

Former  Smallville  star Allison Mack has been in the headlines due to her involvement with NXIVM, a self-help group that is alleged to be a sex-trafficking cult, after NXIVM (pronounced “Nexium”) leader Keith Raniere was arrested and charged with keeping women as sex slaves and branding them as his property. The story came to light after a fan on Twitter noticed a curiously positioned man in the background of a paparazzi photo of the pregnant 32-year-old model. In another photo taken from a different angle, the man, actually a doorman from a nearby building, can more clearly be seen stopping Teigen from stepping onto the street. The fan who had been worried about Teigen’s security was impressed learning that the man in the photo was, in fact, a gentleman.

On Wednesday, Donald Glover posted a mock 15-page script for his Deadpool: The Animated Series. It was announced over the weekend that FX Productions, Glover and Stephen Glover would no longer be partnering with Marvel on the series. The Glover brothers were supposed to be executive producers and serve as showrunners on the animated series. A statement from FX cited “creative differences.” “Due to creative differences, FX, Donald Glover, Stephen Glover and Marvel Television have agreed to part ways on Marvel’s Deadpool animated series. FX will no longer be involved with the project.  Rapper DMX has been arrested in South Carolina and charged with driving under the influence. Greenville County jail officials say the 42-year-old, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was arrested early Friday. He was also charged with not having a driver’s license. Simmons was arrested last year in nearby Spartanburg County for suspicion of driving without a license. In that case, he was released after paying a fine. Jail records show Simmons has been released. It wasn’t clear if he has an attorney. Simmons was arrested in a Phoenix suburb in 2011 after a trooper clocked him driving at 102 mph. He had recently finished a stint in prison on probation revocation for failing to submit to drug testing and driving without a license.

Rapper DMX has been arrested for failure to pay child support just as he was about to perform at Radio City Music Hall. A spokesman for the New York City Sheriff’s Department tells WPIX-TV the 44-year-old rapper was taken into custody Friday for several “issues outstanding.” He said those included $400,000 worth of unpaid child support, a warrant issued by the city of White Plains for bail jumping and a robbery complaint out of Newark, New Jersey. No charges have been filed in the Newark case. The rapper’s real name is Earl Simmons. He had been scheduled to perform at the Master of Ceremony concert at Radio City. A management company that has represented DMX did not immediately return an email seeking comment from The Associated Press

A judge heard a DMX (whose real name is Earl Simmons) song on Wednesday, before ordering the rapper imprisoned for a year in a tax fraud case. U.S. District Judge Jed Rakoff took requests, accommodating DMX’s desire to hear his autobiographical hit Slippin ‘ before DMX faced the music over his admission of guilt. Each received a £125,000 (C$227,303) settlement and signed a non-disclosure agreement. Perkins told a committee of British lawmakers that she felt “defrauded” by the agreement, which she said contained clauses intended to stop Weinstein from sexually harassing or abusing staff. “I believed we had done the best we could in terms of stopping his behaviour,” Perkins told Parliament’s Women and Equalities Committee. “Essentially we were defrauded.” The committee is investigating sexual harassment and the use of non-disclosure agreements. Noor Salman was found not guilty of charges of obstruction and providing material support to a terrorist organization. Salman was married to Omar Mateen when he attacked the Pulse nightclub. Prosecutors say Salman knew about Mateen’s guns, his affinity for violent Muslim extremist videos and his intention to attack a location, but did nothing to stop him. Defence attorneys described Salman as a simple woman with a low IQ who was abused by her husband, and who didn’t know of his plans because he concealed much of his life from her. Big Brother Naija 2018 housemates, Cee-c, Rico, Alex have been disqualified from participating in Head of House challenge. They were disqualified for breaking the rules of Tuesday’s task. The housemates were given a task on Tuesday to sit still in little boxes designed for each person for six hours without coming out or talking. While in the boxes, they would think about ideas and also about their behavior and how to better themselves, something similar to timeout for the housemates. But Cee C, Alex, and Rico did not obey the rules as they talked freely from the boxes and even moved from their original station to converge in the living room.
